Hi Jon

Well, you probably know already that circumcision isn't the only possible cure for phimosis. You could try stretching. Lots of people have been successful, and some people here are able to give good advice, if you go for that approach.

A very long (redundant) foreskin could conceivably interfere with sex, but on the other hand lots of guys have happy sex lives with one. It certainly won't cause any problems, and isn't an *urgent* problem.

>- he said what they'll do it leave 1/3 of the glans covered when flaccid. Is that normal?

There's a huge amount of variation in coverage, both amongst circumcised and uncircumcised men. I don't think there's such a thing as a "normal" penis. Isn't a better question "would you like it?"

>- he said I'll have better sex then. Now that seems subjective. I really enjoy sex right now... and after it's done, I won't be able to get the foreskin back. So, it seems to me a little risky.

Yes, it is. Lots of people like being circumcised, and others disagree. I suggest that you talk to many guys like myself who've been circumcised as adults.

>- perhaps more importantly: how do women usually feel about having sex with circumsized men vs. with a man with a long foreskin like mine (usually there's no friction, only pressure, as the penis goes in and out)

It's too hard to tell. There are a few medical studies, but each has problems, so noone really knows, I'm afraid. As another poster has said, the likelihood is that most women don't care.
