If you cannot draw your foreskin back over the head, it is, by definition a paraphimosis. All medical books state that it needs to be dealt with immediatly (read: erergency at hospital).

In reality, I guess there are different levels of paraphimosis and some may not be so "urgent".

Put ice cubes into a tall large glass, fill it with cold water. Put glass on floor. And then do a pushup such that your flaccid penis falls into the glass as you go down. Stay that way for 5-10 minutes (no matter how cold it feels).

This should help reduce any swelling that is making it harder to pull foreskin back over the head.

You can also gently squeeze the glans to push blood out of it, and when you release it, for a few seconds, it should be easier to pull skin back.

If you notice the situation not improving and glans growing or changing colour, then you really need to go to emergency at hospital. If their ice treatments don't work, they will do a dorsal slit on the constricted ring to release the tension and then pull skin forwards. They can't do a circumcsion right away due to the swelling.
