>Hi all!
>Was wondering if anyone could shed some light.. Ive just this second changed the dressing before I go to bed, and Ive noticed that the shaft of my penis, directl underneath the cut line seems hard, like a hardened mass... its only like a centimeter below cut line, but its worrying me.. is this normal swelling? I will be 4 days post op tmrw...
>Thanks guys.It should not be a problem. After a circ, depending on your own body's reaction and the skill of the surgeon, many things can happen. There can be blood clot, serum, lymph or a combination of all these things collecting under the old shortened (but much shorter) foreskin. These things settle down to produce the final look that you see on Circlist! Unless there is a spot, significantly more tender than anywhere else near the cut-line, don't worry. A swollen red and very tender spot would indicate infection- get THAT treated STAT! Otherwise, if you are still worried, call your doctor and ask if you need to be seen sooner than your scheduled post-op visit.
