>> i think to begin with i had exactly the same problems as joe has - phimosis with a short frenulum . a weeks' hard work of stretching resolved the relative phimosis (with the help of a steroid cream) but hasnt done much to relieve the short frenulum. but whats more distressing is the 1. HYPERSENSITIVE glans (ouch!) and 2) the folds of skin which retract behind the glans and tends to stay there unless manually pushed forward again.

>The sensitivity is something you realy don't want to loose a whole lot of, because of the sexual enjoyment factor durring intrecourse. However if you find yourself to be too sensitive to fully enjoy sexual intercourse, leaving the glans exposed for long periods of time will decrease sensitivity to a point more tolerable.

A good many guys think the hypersensitivity is part of something good that shouldn't be lost -but - actually it has very little to do with sexual enjoyment if anything. Think about it: the word you are using for a synonym for this sensitivity is pain. Those surface nerves only tell you something is touching it, or its hot or cold orbumped into something

This sensitivity actually can prevent the sensual "ah that feels good" nerves that are deeper placed from getting their message through to you!

There are many men that after puberty and exposure of the glans have their foreskins remain retracted either by choice or shortness of the foreskin. This is often looked upon as desirable by many. When a capability of maintaining the foreskin permanently retracted is attained this is sometimes called autocircumcision. Again many welcome it for the easier cleanliness and sexiness.

An exception to keeping the foreskin retracted is if it tends to swell in that position, in which cas it must definitely be brought forward.
