my son - 6 weeks on

6 weeks have passed and it is the day of the follow up appointment with the surgeon for my 10 yr old. My son cried himself to sleep last night in fear of what might happen today. I have been waking all night with dread.

After 6 weeks of hydrocortisone 1% the scarring is not much better. It is very white, hard and ridged. My son can still fully retract the foreskin which I find amazing considering.

We have been stretching every day for six weeks at bath time.

Even if the surgeon says that circ is the only solution I am going to stand my ground and suggest more cream? Is this wise? I do worry about skin thinning? I want to wait and see if his skin will naturally develop and heal.
I still also feel instinctively that I should leave him to decide as he gets older what he needs to do.

Any thoughts please anyone?
