Pre-Circumcision Inspection

I have a long and tight foreskin and I am planning on getting a circumcision shortly. The thing is, I've been reading a lot of stuff on the net about this, particularly at circlist.com and I'm a bit worried. A lot of these accounts say that they initially went to the doctor and he inspected their penises before giving it the all clear to do the circ. That's okay, I have no problem with seeing the doctor, but it sounds like they pull back the foreskin in this procedure to check for something or other. The problem is that I cannot retract my foreskin at all, even when flaccid, and I certainly don't want some doctor trying to yank it back when I know it won't go. Do I have to be able to retract to actually have the circumcision? Thanks for any help.
