Post-circumcision worries, urgent responses PLEASE!!!

I had a circumcision done after suffering from phimosis and I'm worried that the doctor may have taken too much skin off! There's a gap of 2-3 millimetres between where the glans end and where the skin starts...is this normal?? It's been three weeks since the operation so I have 3 weeks to go before the urologist said I'd be fully recovered but I'm stressing out majorly here. Some of the stitches have gone (about half of them), erections are still painful and feel like it's stretching the skin. I hope it's normal but I'd appreciate anyone to respond who has knowledge of post-circumcision conditions.
