I had a small opening. It healed up.

After three weeks your stitches should be long gone. Usually they last between 7 - 14 days. I had a partial circ a few years back and they were out between that period. I'd strongly suggest getting them removed asap since it can screw with the healing process. If you are careful they are easy to take out yourself or you can get your doctor do it. Whatever you choose, they really should be taken out. If your doctors insists that everything is normal, then I would strongly sugest getting a second asap. Once the stitches are out you will find that you should be pretty much pain free.
