making penis head/glans less sensitivie

I am 19 and had phimosis but have managed to stretch the foreskin and progress has been great
but the glans are very sensitivite/uncomfortable to touch, even painful at times, is this because it was covered for so long? and also cos i couldnt wash it for all those years?
how can i make the glans less sensitivitve so its not painful or uncomfortable to touch? any tips? and is this normal
