Whoah! Time to rein in here folks. Yes mate, it does sound as if you have acquired phimosis and it is NOT from doing wierd things to your penis! If you have been reading the postings on this forum, which is a superb forum for guys to be able to express themselves and get generally good advice, you would have noticed that your problem is common and while the estimates aren't too reliable, as many as 1 to 5 percent of uncircumcised men put up with a major degree of phimosis and it's accompanying miserey: mostly in silence and because they don't seek help, they never have a freely functioning penis that requires no maintenance but rather it remains a source of ongoing misery.
You are far from alone with this most common affliction and you didn't do anything strange. The circumcised penis for example can be treated quite nastily by comparison to the disruptive 'ouchies' that our uncircumcised brethren so clearly experience as their norm and thst shows that whether you stuffed it into a sock of a watermelon, nothing bad should have happened to it. Unfortunately, the unrolling of evetns, if you will, goes like this: a hard to retract foreskin is going to get microcracks at the tight ring- it is inevitable to all who try to 'use' the organ and one must assume that almost all do!!! These little cracks may only show up as a slight redness and perhaps a litle swelling, so that after a vigorous session of self-pleasuring, the only thing you might notice is a little dusky redness and the tip of the foreskin appears to be a bit more "frilly" for a day or two. The cracking though causes microscarring and these repetitive events that jsut cause a little discomfort for a day or two after each 'whack off" session leads to more and more scarring. After a while, there is not much pain or swelling as the ring is now quite firm from scar tissue and won't stretch and crack anymore. Things seem better but they are actually worse since while no further tearing is occurring, the maximum opening to the foreskin is now very restricted and will not stretch up. This is the most usual way in which phimosis is made worse- call it secondary or idiopathic- it matters not- in either case, the damn thing won't give. It is certainly true that forcible early retraction can make a tight foreskin tighter- it is not possible to know if overly zealous parents can make something "normal" abnormal. If os, that is not the cause of the miserable situation that too many uncircumcised men are faced with. The normal act of masturbation, with or without superimposed infections, make the abnormally tight, even if it just ever so mildly restricted in the first place, the starting point for what you have described. Once you have something tha feels like gristle in the ring, even betamehasone may not help. I tis however worth following the edvice given here- go back 6 months and review the advice but as I have said many times, a circumcised penis is better anyway so 'be not afraid' of getting the ultimate fix. The need for penile manipulations other than the ones wou WANT, go away! Dave, MD.
