Your advice please - how to treat my situation

Hello all,

I realize this will make me sound stupid, but I am 27 and just recently discovered that I have phimosis. I have had this condition for as long as I can remember and cannot retract the foreskin at all over the glans. I've never had any real problems, so just assumed this was normal. Anyway, I recently went to the doctor explaining the problem I had and asking for the steroid cream (Diprosone). He said the cream would be useless and refused to perscribe it. He said my only option is circumcision asked the nurse to make an appointment with the urologist.

I'm currently very depressed, but really want to solve my problem. I'd rather not have circumcision due to the potential risks. I also don't know where to buy the steriod cream without a perscription...so I'm pretty much out of luck there.

I'd really appreciate any advise you could offer. Also, are there any good doctors you can recommend (I live in Toronto, Canada).
