This was an interesting question and answer. The foreskin is meant to slide backwards and forwards easily but the 'ideal' foreskin seems to be difficult to come across- to wit, on a fully erect penis, the foreskin should 'lock' into place behind the glans and get out of the way of the action. You will read, on the proforeskin, everything anti-circumcision forums, that 'ideal' intercourse is when the foreskin/glans has the same mechanical action as during masturbation. This is not ideal as there is virtually no stimulation of the vagina, and as circumcised men will tell you, the sense of complete enclosure ot the shaft and the friction (albeit very light) far surpasses the sensations one gets when the penis is simply sliding back and forth in the foreskin. The fact that you have the foreskin slide about and entangle with the condom is not unusual but it is very unsatisfactory and of course, apart from the risk of slipping off, the flds of skin snared in the rubber doesn't feel all that good. One solution is to find contoured condoms: these constrict a little behind the corona and work well- except when they don't and that needs another solution. Taping the foreskin back, while cumbersome and time consuming, gives you the opportunity to experience intercourse with more freedoma nd pleasure and it gives you the opportunity to experience what it might be like circumcised, an option that is as valid as any other in solving this sort of nuisance. The long term pay-off is well worth it. Go to Circlist and use this link: http://www.circlist.com/preferences/feelcut.html

Now, as for the answer about how to live with phimosis, there are two responses one can give to this problem: one's own personal position and one that benefits the majority of people with the problem. While living with phimosis is an option, it should never be given as advice as it is a pathological condition, leads to infections, a lifetime risk of cancer of the penis of 1 in 600 men with phimosis, not to mention that a phimotic foreskin prevents the full enjoyment of sex. The normal unclipped penis should have a short, fully retractable foreskin that doesn't interfere with the coupling of the penis to the vagina. Thus, anyone who cannot retract their foreskin or is having problems with anything other than a totally maintenance free penis, that doesn't require creams, stretching, antibiotics, has pain on touching the frenulum, the head being bent downwards with attempts to retract the foreskin fully, extreme hypersensivity to any touching of the inner surfaces of the foreskin and glans, SHOULD really, truly consider a circumcision. Circumcised men hardly ever subscribe to these types of forums for medical advice because with the rarest of exceptions, they don't need any. They have penises that simply WORK!!! free of any acrobatics and ongoing uncomfortable and not altogether successful maneuvers trying to overcome what is a very simply solved problem. I suggest that anyone suffering with penile problems researches the procircumcision websites to obtain information rather than live with an ongoing sexually dysfunctional penis and not knowing that they don't have to..
