>>>When i was little, around 8 or 9, i was always tought to keep foreskin retracted for hygene. Over the years the foreskin seems like its getting shorter. Now, at 22 the foreskin only covers the ridge of the head, the rest is exposed. Is this normal or is it because of early pre-teen retraction that the foreskin is short. Has any other parents done this with there child or was i just born with a short foreskin. COMMENTS PLEASE
>Ivan:
>>It could be either of those. I am sure that some of the growth of the length of the foreskin is caused by demands placed on it as a youth plays with it and erections pull on it. No demands = no stimulus to grow.
>>You can get the foreskin to grow out by putting regular outward tugging on it. This can be done by hand or yopu can use the methods used by restorers to make their little remaining foreskin grow.
>While it is the goal of some to have a lot of skin hanging there, I would suggest that your foreskin as is is OK.
>Don't forget that probably more guys worldwide go to extra (but slight) effort to have their foreskins become trained to remain permanently retracted than the number that would go to the extreme of spending a few years with tapes and straps to stretch a foreskin or remnants of forekin to hang over the glans.
>There are differing amounts of skin there even after circumcisions, and I don't feel there's big disadvantages to any style other than if the wearer thereof sadly becomes unaccepting of his own!You don't have a problem at all! What's wrong with having a short foreskin? It is an advantage to have a bare glans for hygiene. I also have a short foreskin and the head of my penis is permanently exposed. I cannot even use my foreskin to masturbate, but I enjoy my bare glans a lot.
