Devices can be used. They have been a contentious issue on this page in years gone by, so I am reluctant to get into it, but the basis idea is that a more gentle stretch applied continuously works much better than the occasional tugging. Use surgical tape to hold things in the approprite place and choose a device that will allow the stretching without causing harm. You may also want to have a means of peeing without disassembly, but simple arrangements are not that hard to put back into place. Above the suggestion of a film cannister is made, and I do not see why not, so long as you make sure it is causing no harm. You can probably find other items which are the right size and shape, hard enough, smooth enough and not reactive with water or your skin. So the general answer is yes, there are methods to apply continuous stretching and they work nicely. There used to be other regulars here who would know lots of other arrangments, but I never had need to learn any of the details.
