Full circ versus partial circ

i have the ring type phimosis. I can fully retract when soft and can retract foreskin when hard but not return without difficulty . I have been advised by consultant to have full circ but have read about partial circ on interent. Can anyone explain what the finished article looks like on the partial circ, cannot find info for this. I am interested in what they do and what it looks like afterwards? Trying to decide on full or partial?
