Ask him why he insists on a general. Call him BEFORE to find out. Also ask how many adult circs he performs per WEEK.

Surgeons who want general are sometimes those with less experience and want the freedom to take as long as they need to do the deed, whereas experienced surgeons know that they can do the op well within the local anesthetic duration.

YOU need to decide where he is to make the cut, whether you wish to preserve your inner foreskin (the sensitive portion of skin) or not. The way you wrote it, the scar may be positiones right at the rim of head (a "low" cut with all of inner foreskin (doctors call it the musoca) removed.

Rememver it is YOUR penis and you're the one who wioll be living with it, and it shoudl represent what you want it to represent, what your doc thinks looks good (or what his limited surgical experience randomly decides).

I am not saying your doctor is incompetant, but just be careful.

In terms of how much skin to remove, you can measure this yourself. Remember to measure when hard to see how tight you are willing to tolerate it, that defines the maximum amount of skin to remove.

And when REALLY soft, just mark the skin around the coronna. When retracted, the distance between the coronna and the line is how much skin can be removed. You can remove a bit less since skin will bunch up nicely behind rim before the bunching becomes unesthetic.

You need to decide which "position" your penis is to be best looking. Right out of underwear (smallest), in shower (not quiet fully soft), or when erect ?
