Hi Anthony,

I read your life's account of problems with various doctors. They're right, a circumcision is the sure fire cure for a tight foreskin. It can't be tight if it isn't there. However, the sure fire cure for an in grown toe nail is to cut off the toe, after all, you don't need all of them. Like you, I'm inclined to think that amputation isn't the answer. There must be a reason it was put there in the first place.

You've said that you're tight, but not to what degree. I do note that at one point you indicate that the urologist retracted you and said you were tight, but you didn't indicate that it caused you any extent of pain or discomfort.

There is a great misconception that foreskins are supposed to automatically retract on erection - horse hockey! There are natural bands and a preputial sphincter which are supposed to hold the foreskin forward normally, covering the knob. Foreskins vary a great deal on shsape, size, length, and how close the tip of the foreskin stays closed. You may have the variant with a more tightly closed opening. However, if you can retract yourself, flaccid or erect whithout discomfort, then nothing is wrong.

Likewise, the frenulum is supposed to draw the foreskin back forward to its normal position, that's your automatic closing mechanism.

It would help a great deal if you would be a bit more descriptive of the symotoms and not so much comments about your GP. As they enter puberty, most boys discover the joys of a proper wank. Some toss themselves by retracting as much as possible, if their foreskin has a larger opening, whilst others, like myself and I suspect, you, have a narrower opening and are quite content to spunk up leaving the knob fully covered. Whilst there's nothing wrong with either method, for us, leaving the knob covered means we don't get the recreational stretch that others get and our foreskin stays snugger or tight, as you say.

That's just some thoughts off the top. Give us a shout if you can add anything to your account that will shed a bit more light on the subject.
