>Hi Max,

Glad to have helped. Getting info on circumcision is easy but there's nothing like getting it from someone who has had it done recently. Here are some more answers. Some may not be what you want to hear but I believe in giving the full picture.

>I am also concerned as to how noticable the scar would be, how long is it since your circumcision?

My circumcision was done just under 9 months ago. My scar is still noticable on the under side round the frenulum. This area takes longest to resolve for everyone. My scarring has been thicker than usual and the doctor has said it will take a bit longer to achieve a final result. It can take up to two years for it to fully settle, but it looks pretty acceptable a lot sooner than that. I'd say that in a locker room situation, no one would know I was cut as recently as I was.

>If you don't mind me asking - which style of cut did you choose and why?

High and tight is what I opted for. For me that is what circumcision is all about. I had a short foreskin to begin with so unless I went for the full monty, I could have ended up looking pretty much as I did before! I can't see the point in going through all this to be left with folds of skin over the corona unless there is an issue of being a grower.

>Does this doctor prefer to do a particular style?

Yes - high and tight, although he went a bit tighter on me than he would have normally done as this was my specific request.

>How long does it take for him to do the operation and how much does it cost?

My operation took about 40 minutes and cost £400. It has gone up since then.

>I believe this doctor performs the operation using a local anaesthetic, how was that???

I had about 7 or 8 'pricks' round the base of my penis. The first two weren't too bad so I relaxed. Some of the rest were much worse, but we are only talking about a very short-lived discomfort. I had to have a 'top up' during the procedure as I was VERY resistant to the anaesthetic. I felt it when he cut my frenulum and when he put in some of the stitches but it was by no means unbearable agony. It was a little frightening I must admit. I must stress that this is an unusual experience and is by no means a reflection on the doctor in question.

>Sorry for all the questions, but your last reply was most helpful.
>Thanks.

Don't hesitate to ask any further questions. I am really glad to help.

Damian.
