Written by Matt at 10 Dec 2004 10:28:00: Concerns Post-Frenuloplasty - Advice Needed
Hi, I just got a Frenuloplasty two days ago. Because I live in Australia and urologists are stretched to capacity where i live, i cant get in to see one for a bit so i thought maybe someone here might be able to help.
Everything seems to be going fine, there is obviously still heaps of swelling, and healing to be done, but i have one concern as there seems to be a tight ring of skin that has formed just under the frenulum that is causing tightness of the inner foreskin. The ring feels fine when fully retracted behind the glans although all the foreskin bunches there because of it, but it cannot go forward more than a few millimetres onto the glans before it gets stuck. So it sits there at the moment so the outer foreskin can cover the whole glans, but the ring is rather tight and slightly painful around the glans and is leaving a slight bruise. I'm probably just being paranoid, but i was wondering why this is - is it just because the swelling of the frenulum is pulling the skin tight and will loosen once all this heals / will it stretch enough over time or am i in danger of paraphimosis and gangrene? There *seems* to be enough blood flow to the tip of the glans, and there is no problem urinating and there isnt a lot of pain but im just making sure that i dont need to run down to the emergency ward.
Any advice would be appreaciated.
