Have you had confirmed diagnosis of BXO, I had to have a biopsy to confirm BXO
as it had affected my glans and foreskin. After discussions with my doctor, urologist and a surgeon,They all said it was progressive and incurable with anything less than circumcision.
I obiously asked for alternatives, the use of steriods would make foreskin more supple (stretchy), but prolonged use would lead to thinning of the skin particular the sulcus and glans making it easier to damage.Left untreated the foreskin would continue to shrink and harden, all be it slowly making it totally unretractable, and the hard patches on the glans would continue to grow, possibly blocking the urethra, making it difficult or impossible to pass urine.
Faced with these options i chose circumcision.
I was circumcised 5 months ago at the age of 50+ it was relatively painless (honestly),i have absolutely no regrets.
If you suspect BXO, talk to a doctor and get the diagnosis confirmed, and listen to what he says.
