Pinhole Phimosis

I am 23 years old from the UK and my foreskin is severely tight. In fact, I have never seen anything of my penis glans! Clearly I have a condition called phimosis, which is a very rare condition even in its loosest form, let alone the so-called ‘pinhole’ phimosis that I have.

The ‘hole’ at the tip of my foreskin - out of which the glans should appear - is no larger than the size of a pea when erect, and when flaccid there is virtually no opening at all! Needless to say, stretching is not going to do anything for a phimosis of that severity. I also highly doubt that steroid creams will prove sufficient. I visited the urologist recently and I was told that I would need a circumcision.

I am 100% against having a circumcision. This is not particularly down to any religious beliefs or morals or values, but simply because I do not want to personally go through the physical pain and prolonged psychological trauma of having my foreskin removed.

I am scared that I might get infections if I am unable to clean my penis glans properly. 90% of the time, the smell of smegma is not present and I do not have any trouble urinating. However, I have never had sexual intercourse and I guess I never will with my condition. This upsets me a great deal and makes me wonder what is the point of living, especially since I have quite a small penis anyway.

In April, 2005, I am to be booked in for a circumcision (the UK Health Service is very slow as I initially had a consultation on September 5 this year) but I don’t know whether I can be bothered to turn up. In the UK, a circumcised penis is not the norm and I fear that I would be laughed at even more if anyone saw me.
