>>>I am 23 years old from the UK and my foreskin is severely tight. In fact, I have never seen anything of my penis glans! Clearly I have a condition called phimosis, which is a very rare condition even in its loosest form, let alone the so-called ‘pinhole’ phimosis that I have.
>>>The ‘hole’ at the tip of my foreskin - out of which the glans should appear - is no larger than the size of a pea when erect, and when flaccid there is virtually no opening at all! Needless to say, stretching is not going to do anything for a phimosis of that severity. I also highly doubt that steroid creams will prove sufficient. I visited the urologist recently and I was told that I would need a circumcision.
>>>I am 100% against having a circumcision. This is not particularly down to any religious beliefs or morals or values, but simply because I do not want to personally go through the physical pain and prolonged psychological trauma of having my foreskin removed.
>>>I am scared that I might get infections if I am unable to clean my penis glans properly. 90% of the time, the smell of smegma is not present and I do not have any trouble urinating. However, I have never had sexual intercourse and I guess I never will with my condition. This upsets me a great deal and makes me wonder what is the point of living, especially since I have quite a small penis anyway.
>>>In April, 2005, I am to be booked in for a circumcision (the UK Health Service is very slow as I initially had a consultation on September 5 this year) but I don’t know whether I can be bothered to turn up. In the UK, a circumcised penis is not the norm and I fear that I would be laughed at even more if anyone saw me.
>>Hello. I'm 28 and i've had pinhole phimosis since about 22 years. At first I ignored it but after a while the hygenine of my penis was worrying me. It was getting quite itchy and cleaning it was very difficult. Also i could pee in a straight line so spent all my toilet visits sitting down, that's a bind after being able to stand up.
>>I've had sex but always needed a little lubricant for safety. I found salva works well and is also discret. To be honest most women did not even know that I had phimosis and the ones that asked didn't care. You know more about your penis then they do.
>>I plucked up some courage and went to the doctors. I tried steroid creams, these didn't work for me but i'd advise anyone to give them a go, why not? I was then put on the list for a circ. I was not sure about this at all to start with and had many doubts. However the NHS list is long and it allows you plenty of time to consider it. I looked at lots of forums like this one and tried to get some info. You'd be quite surprised how much is out there.
>>I decided to go ahead with my circ and the op was last thursday. I'm now recovering at home but i'm glad I've had it done. The doctors are great and will be happy to talk to you about the op. They have done this alot.
>>In the UK a circumcison is not the norm but you are not alone. I'm another and so are most of this guys on this forum. Also you have to wait 6 months for the op on the NHS and that means that there are alot of other guys waiting for the op as well. On my op day 3 out of the 5 ops were circs.
>>I just wanted to reassure you that you're not alone in this, i felt alone to start with. You can have sex without a circ but there are good reasons for having it. Most women don't care about phimosis or your penis size. UK average is 5 3/4 inchs not the 10 inchs you see in porn films. Life is for living, if you decide to have a circ or not it doesn't matter. Just enjoy yourself.
>>Sorry for a mad ramblings and hope you fell somewhat better.

>If so, how often did you stretch ? which steriod cream did you use ? what progress, if any, did you make with the stretching before you went for the circum option ?
>I'm just curious why the cream + stretching does not work for some people. Hence my questions.I didn't really give the stretching much of a go. I tried initially but it was difficult due to the size of the hole. I applied the cream for about 2-3 weeks. I guess that a tried stretching once a day for about a week. To be honest I didn't really know what I was doing and was not convinced that the foreskin would ever stretch back to anything resembling normal. Everyone is different though so it's worth a go. I'm really happy with my circ but it may not be for everyone and I believe that anything is worth a try before surgery (that isn't
just circ).Whatever you decide to do you have to be happy in your own mind with it. Try to read stuff on the forums and chat the other people. It all helps.
