>There are other treatments for BXO. As with any condition, surgery should be a last resort. There are a number of reasonable medically-based sites that will guide you to alternatives, such as steroid ointment therapies. If the alternatives don't work, you can try 'skinning back' - keeping the foreskin retracted all the time - to give you the drying affect of circumcision. If the BXO clears up, then great, you're cured. Give it a whiel and let the foreskin return to its normal location. If it does not clear up from skinning back, then circumcision would not do the trick either (which you know because you would have tried the functional equivalent of circumcision). Remeber the BXO is in the glans, not the foreskin, so removing the foreskin does no more than skinning back would. You might have to use surgical tape or an elastic to keep the foreskin retracted at first.
Thanks for the advice. When "skinning back" typically, how long would I need to do this before the BXO might respond? It sounds quite uncomfortable and probably quite difficult as my foreskin generaly wants to roll down all the time.
