This is a great alternative for those that want it and are able to succeed with it. It has been said that thus is quite common with the Japanese to expect to wear the foreskin retracted as adults. It has been mentioned that wrapping the retractes foreskin with string has been used. The asians tend to have shorter foreskins and success would be easier than with a long loose foreskin.

One thing that tends to help besides the skin getting used to being behind the head is that the glans may flare out a bit more than when continually compressed under a foreskin, helping hold the retracted skin in place.

I had a relatively quick time of it and could successfully have either position at choice.

It is very helpful to the traing process to reposition the skin back behind the glans as soon after it slips foreward as possible.

As you mentioned- placing tape, "o" rings, a block of foam with a hole carved in it, small hair elastics, or wrapping flexible bandage on the retracted foreskin can help. I wouild imagine you should not attempt to move too much foreskin too far back- further than where it would come to rest of its own and not compress too tightly.

Also a word of caution- if any swelling of the retracted skin occurs take immediate action to get it back over the glans to avoid lack of blood supply to the glans. It would be necessary to work the blood out of the glans to help get the skin forward. Attempting to "wear it bare" is not the only thing that could trigger this condition- known as paraphimosis. It is beneficial to work ones way through it if it happens to reduce the chance of it happening accidentally.

I wish you luck in your endeavor. Those that can suceed with it obviously are fond of seeing the exposed glans, but there are some very definite cleanliness advantages, and there is less tendency for problems to develop with the elimination of moisture.
