Well the placement would be on the retracted foreskin just behind the coronal edge and need not necessarily be very tight. You can avoid contact with adhesive tape by wrapping gauze or cloth strip around first, only using the adhesive (or even rubber band) to avoid unravelling.
Might work out for you. I would think you would have faster results with the least restraint or compression possible.
