Back when I had surgery, most of my stitches were out by day 14. The doctor removed the remaining ones during my post-op check up which was 13 days after surgery. I had removed the ones that had popped open and cut one or two that were tight and uncomfortable.

It's involves just cutting them so they are open and then pulling them through. It's quite painless, but if you do it yourself, be careful. It's also a relief to be able to get an erection with out any stitches pulling!
