post-op masturbation

Hi guys.....well I'm now at 1 month and 2 days since the operation and everything seems to be going okay, though I am not fully healed by any means. Just a question about masturbation for those of you who have had the operation - I tried for the second time the other day and it went well, but I am still afraid to touch the glans and corona since they seem a bit tender. I thought I might try putting on a condom to masturbate with just to see if I could get it on without discomfort but I gave up on that as it wasn't working too well. So far I am just lightly stroking the bottom to middle of the shaft, nowhere near the corona really and this actually works really well, even though I'm not stimulating the most sensitive parts. Is it normal to be like this at this stage? Did it take you guys a while before you could masturbate properly and without discomfort?....sex still seems a long way off LOL!!
