Yes, it takes a while for this most favourite 'hobby' to get back to the way we know it and to some extent the art has to be relearned. That can be a lot of fun! I would suggest investing in a good quailty lube and gradually moving the action closer to the head. The scar can be a real hotspot for pleasure. If there are any gaps in the wound (which there can still be at this stage) the lube will not harm them and the slippery action will be more comfortable. Not until you feel confident with getting yourself off can you really attempt sex.
