>Well, I am going in for a full Circ 11th May, and I too would like the answers to these questions (apart from question 7!). One comment I already have - I am not sure, but this site appears to be used mostly by the US. I am having my Circ done in Berkshire, England. Unlike everyone else’s experiences I have read about, I am having a General Anaesthetic. Now I am not quite so brave, and so am in fact quite glad and relieved about this. Most of the Circs I read about here are done under local. Are there any real reasons against a General Anaesthetic other than preference? Another question I have - my Penis when flaccid is actually quite small and short, although when erect, gives a good 8 inches. Does this mean that my Circ will be tighter, and that the cut/scar will be much further up the shaft? I am opting for a high and moderate cut. As a result of much of my erect length apparently coming from expansion, I too am very worried about painful erections that I seem to encounter all through the night (much to my Wife's annoyance!)
>Many thanks.
I won't address the circ questions specifically: I have given them little thought as I consider having a circ for anything but a last resort for an acute medical condition to be foolishness. But I suppose this what you want - to each their own.It seems reasonable that a 'grower' would stretch their skin out a good bit. I am mostly covered when flaccid, but nearly entirely exposed when erect - without my foreskin I can't imagine the remaining skin would be any less tight than a sausage casing. That seems uncomfortable enough once the stitches are healed, but awful when they are still raw wounds. Perhaps the pain will cause you to lose your erection.
As for the anesthesia, you should understand that all anesthesia carries substantial risks of complications, and general anesthesia is much higher than local. I think it exceeds 1% for serious problems either requiring additional medical care or resulting in permanent disability or death. This sounds dire, and it is a serious matter - the rates used to be much higher, but they have been dropping with greater experience and methods of monitoring and control; the most important thing is to have an anesthesia team that has lots of experience and a low complication rate. Do some investigation on general anesthesia alone, without the circ question.
