What a pity your doctor did not recommend or persuade you to go for the full circumcision last year. Losing two pints of blood can't have been fun and I have to commend your attitude for stepping up to the table to have the job completed as it were.

Speaking from experience, tight underpants are the best option (though I will admit they don't sound like a good idea) just after the operation. With a dressing on the wound they actually immobilise your penis and spare you the stimulation of having the fella moving about. For the first few weeks this can be quite uncomfortable. They also offer some compression to the area which helps to minimise erections and holds back any slight bleeding that might occur.

I had a bad bleed 4 days after my circumcision but nothing like yours. Mine was caused by two of the stitches popping because of the severe swelling I experienced. My swelling actually took 3 months to subside! Something that will help with erections is making sure you have a pee just before you go to bed and waking up during the night (say every 3-4 hours) to have another. It disturbs your sleep, but does prevent unwanted erections.

I'm certain that being circumcised will be much better for you and you'll be able to fully enjoy your sex live once it is all healed. With severe phimosis, it is the only way to go. All the best with it.
