diabetes

I am 27 and a Type 1 diabetic. I read that phimosis is common among diabetic men (whee!) and am now scheduled for a circ in a couple of weeks. Tried stretching, made it worse. Doc said I can't get a dorsal because of too much scarring. Anyhow, I am concerned about having a longer recovery time and I have always been more prone to infections. Whee again. If there is anyone else out there who is a TYPE ONE diabetic and has gone through this before, please offer some advice, or at least comiserate.
