Not really. Retract it when you wake up, then when you get home, just try to leave it as retracted as posssible, especially when going to bed.
The "liquid skin" dries off quickly, but when back in humid environment, it becomes viscous again. Just rinsing it off while taking shower is fine. (your description of your washing seems OK too).
However, after shower, try not to bring back foreskin and let it go back on its own after you've gotten dressed.
with no soap,,,should i be doing something different???
Just make sure that the water sray does get to all areas of your penis. You may have to lift/twist the head some to get some spray to rinse the ventral side of the head where the frenulum is/was.
(frenulum always takes longer to heal, that is normal)
