desensitizers

Hi again
I was wondering if any of you tried to use a desensetizing spray or cream during your experiences, to lessen the sensetivity of the newly exposed head. I've seen sprays with benzocaine as their main ingredient and maybe this would help? Only after the initial open areas have healed of course. Anyway, advice?
