Frenulum's Function

Quick questions, i'm getting a frenuloplasty because of frenulum breve. Does the frenulum have any function besides attaching the forskin to the head? are there other things that i should know will be different? what about skin bunching up right under the head, will this continue? I am new to this forum and i do not know alot about the topic, although i have tried streching.
