I suppose to shorten this down a bit -- my question is whether or not it is typical for the stitches to fall out on day seven? I've lost three today now.

>Well, today I take the gauze off and it is absolutely sick. I wish I would have took your advice ahead of time. The tape from the gauze and the gauze itself stuck to the wound, making it awfully ugly. A stitch popped with the gauze.
>So, being disgusted by the fact that I have adhesive tape (Nexcare stuff) stuck to my penis, I shower. In the shower, making sure I am clean around the ridge and whatnot, another stitch pulled. There was no blood in the gauze or where the first stitch popped, but the second one bled a little and then closed right up.
>It has been seven days -- these are dissolving stitches, is seven days an adequate amount of time for dissolving stitches to do their part? Is there reason that two stitches came out? I looked where the first one popped and the skin seems to be attached well enough to wait for tomorrow, when I had an appointment already set for a check on this swelling.
>Just wanting to make sure that all is OK and that the stitches aren't popping pre-maturely and/or if there is any danger.
>Thanks
>>Glad to hear the gauze hasn't been a problem but remember, you have not had significant bleeding. That would be another story! I had my bleed on day four so I warn everybody about that as a possible complication. The ointment you're applying is DEFINITELY helping to keep skin and gauze apart. Don't stop.
>>I found it was five weeks before my fella looked good enough to take to the gym or a swimming pool. Of course, I looked newly circumsised but I thought that was kinda cool! Everyone is different with this.
