Hi Andy,
All that is necessary is a strip (say 2cm wide) to cover the actual incision or wound. You needn't mummify the whole fella! Just cut strips the size you need. One pack of the type they sell in Boots should see you through the phase when it is necessary.
Some elasticated gauze is good to hold it all in place as long as it does not touch the wound. Stick that with some surgical tape.
One of the great things about being cicrumcised as an adult it taking care of the little guy through this process. You will get to know you cock in ways most guys never do. It is fantastic!
