Hi Damian,

Thanks for thinking of me. Well, its day six now, and I am doing OK. So how did it go? Well, first things first. The Operation went really well. I was operated on at 1030hrs, and home by 1430hrs. The General Anesthetic was nothing like I expected, and in fact nothing at all like I had been warned. The Anesthetic was given my IV injection via a Canula in my wrist. The effect was almost immediate – and after what seemed no more than a few minutes, I awoke. I was immediately alert, felt really good, and had no sense of sickness. Really, the General Anesthetic was no problem at all. I was back on the ward by 1115hrs and was tucking into toast and Coffee soon after. Ok, one minor issue with the Op itself. Having spoken with the Surgeon at length, it was clear that the cut could not be as high as I had hoped – the Phimosis was simply to close to the Glans. In the end, I lost nearly the entire inner Foreskin. The dressing covered the wound, so I could not see much until I needed to pee. Then the dressing came off. Well, it was a little swollen, but otherwise looked as it did albeit remarkably smaller! The Op had made the ole fella shrink BIG TIME! Passed water OK, and well that was that. I changed the dressing as soon as I got home, with a fresh one as issued by the hospital, after applying a mesh called Jelonet – it’s a mesh soaked in Vaseline – great product that I hadn’t heard of before. It comes in a 10x10cm rip that you simply roll into a sausage, and wrap around the wound. When they ran out, I simply used Vaseline, and when the dressings ran out, I used my own 10x10 Melolin dressings. All was OK – very little swelling, no bruising, no pain, and no bleeding or discharge of any kind – completely dry dressings until; day 4, small bleed – no big deal until the evening of day 5 – big bleed. The Doctor who examined me said it was no big deal and that “She” wasn’t worried about it (really embarrassing given my knob is still only about 1” long!!). I was given some Antibiotics just in case of infection. Day 6, bleeding has all but stopped apart from some spotting on the dressing – a little concerned about washing myself just in case the bleed starts again, so am leaving it alone for now. One thing I hadn’t read is that my penis would shrink so much (probably in trauma?!) I still seem to have a foreskin although I know it’s not really, but it’s doing the same job. I can retract easily back to the wound, and when erect, everything looks as it should. I haven’t had too many nocturnal erections, but have been awoken by about 3 a night – thankfully before I am fully erect. Peeing frequently hasn’t helped, nor has stopping taking on fluids after 2030hrs. All in all, I am doing Ok, and there have been no surprises apart from having a very small penis (Where the hell has it gone?!). More soon folks!
