Perley papules are like bacteria in your stomach. They are normal and are essential to digestion process. But they are not part of the anatomy.

In other words,. perley papupes are not genetic. They are environment related. (which is why uncuts get them twice as often). You are not born with genes of perley papules. You "catch" perley papules. They are inoffensive and not dangerous. But they are still due to some condition you catch.

Circumsicion simply removes the environment that makes the papules thrive. If you have an extremely long foreskin and rarely leave glans fully exposed for long periods, papules thrive more.

I have seen a picture of papules that were much longer (yes, longer) than usual little bumps. It was truly ugly. (they were white, papules only have glans colour near the base as the more they grow, the whiter they get.)

They doN't bring in any additional nerves.
