As an answer to: Discharge written by Lee at 13 May 2005 05:22:54:

These are most likely your pre-ejaculatory fluids, which are actually often withdrawn at night without you even knowing about it. It is a very simular substance that often is produced with erections and no stimulation whatsoever. Your female urologist (lucky you!) doesn't really have to face the issue -- so I'm not surprised that she'd be sceptical. ;-)

This is my bet. It is likely that it is as I have suggested and is occuring at random. But if it continues on a frequent basis in the next couple days, it may be something more significant although this is beyond doubtful. If you're not experiencing discomfort or an increase in inflammation it is not going to be deemed an infection. I am sure if it is anything -- it will pass. Give it a week!

Remember that you have undergone a lot of trauma there recently, it will take months to heal fully, so it's good to be cautious in the first few weeks to make sure you're adapting well! I visited my family doctor (urologist was in the O.R.) three times in that very first week due to an abnormal amount of swelling. Everybody heals differently!

Good luck -- post updates!

>I am 13 days post circ. I found this site on a search and reading some posts on here has, for the most part, eased my concerns. I called my urologist today and told his secretary about a slight amount of yellowish fluid coming out of a small area on the bottom that hasn't healed as fast as the rest. Overall I'd say it appears to be 75% healed with 75% of the scabbing gone. The yellowish fluid, from my readings, seems to be lymphatic. It doesn't drip; it stained my underpants for the first week after the surgery in small spots, and now I can dab it onto a piece of tissue but it no longer leaks enough to get onto my drawers. My urologist's assistant (female) who I believe this was her first circ to participate in (she and the male urologist did it together) seemed quite concerned when I told her of this, and seemed to think it might be infected... but it seems to be nothing out of the ordinary and it isn't painful. The second thing that I mentioned, something which she said would have nothing to do with the procedure, is that last night, I went pee and after I was done, I flexed my PC muscle several times to push out the last few drips without squeezing my member. What came out then was a small amount of what looked like semen with a little urine mixed in. I thought this was strange; it happened again today when I did the same "pushing" after I finished peeing. It looks and smells upon close examination, like semen, but with a slight yellowish tint that could just be from urine in my urethra. It's strange, though; why is semen coming out if I'm not ejaculating? Has anyone else on here experienced anything like this?
>I think everything seems to be going really well as erections are no longer painful and the scars are closing and healing well. I've never had an STD that I know of (tested clean after the last time I had sex several months back) so is this semen discharge after urination normal? Your thoughts and help are appreciated guys!
