You are going to have to be at an ultimate low for at least two weeks following the procedure. A lot of bedrest would be recommended. I know some people have gone right to work -- to their office, but I would like to tell you to be very cautious and to keep it iced at all times away from the workplace if that is the route you take. To put it bluntly, I would almost request some additional time off -- possibly a confidential letter from your surgeon would aide well with this.

Believe me, I had the same concern as you -- worrying about becoming a one pump chump. Let me tell you, that your concern will go directly out the window through the healing process. The discomfort from the sensitivity is so minimal -- and so unapparent due to the dressings, that you won't have any issue from it. And it will only take a few days afterward to familiarize the glans with clothes, and touch. Having an unfunctional foreskin is a whole different ball game, because you're having that added friction there all of the time. You don't really expect better. That is not to say that the same 'ease' of stimulation cannot be attained once you're cut via the shaft skin, though. It's the same deal, just nothing in the way.

You are giving yourself three days to recover. This is my only concern primarily because of the sutures and the swelling, which can and will become quite severe. You won't exactly feel all that "physically" able for about the first week. And the second week is when the swelling will die down and the wound will start to disappear, reducing the likelihood of infection and/or pulling of the sutures. You should discuss this with your surgeon, ultimately, who should know better as well.

The sutures will start falling out on their own as early as about the fifth day.

Good luck. Remember, your job can't give you pleasure.

>Hello all,
>In less than two weeks (on the 27th of May) I am going through my adult circumcision. Because of phimosis, my glands was not exposed much through my life and my big concern is with ultra sensitivity! I know I am going to have a hard time with sensitivity I just hope it doesn't take too long.
>I don't really fear the procedure, my urologist told me he will take his time and make sure I don't feel anything (I opted for local anesthesia).
>The 27th (which falls on a Friday) is the start of a long weekend here in the US so I will not have to go back to work until the Tuesday following the procedure so hopefully I will be able to walk around at work without being too sore. I'm a software engineer so I'm lucky to be able to sit most of the day.
>I will be posting my experiences here and hopefully be able to help people the some way you guys helped me with so much information provided in this forum! Thanks to all who contributed to this forum because it is a lot of help seeing real experiences rather than the vagueness I get from doctors on how post-op is going to be like!
>Thanks again and take care!
