Many bad things have been said about partial circumcision, especially in the heydays of baby circs when anything but something which was complete was considered a failed circumcision. Partial circumcision is really a recent thing and many doctors don't even understand.

It is the exact same procedure as a circumcision, with only less skin being removed. The differences are in the aftercare/healing period.

In the case of BXO, you would really need more of a partial circumcision than a minimal circumcision to ensure that the gland is sufficiently exposed to prevent too much moisture and ensure quick retraction during erection to dry the glans (think nocturnal erections).

It is your body, and you should be able to tell a doctor you are willing to take the risk of BXO not going away and get a partial circ, and if it doesn't work, you then get a full circ later on.
