The part about the doctor that bothers me is that he is so damn vague about everything. He didn't give me much instruction on how to treat the area or what to expect as far as ugly blisters and swelling. I was only told that my penis was "going to get really ugly at first" but not to worry much about it since everything was going back to normal in a week or two.
I will try to keep the new dressing I just put on for 24 hours (until the next shower) because last time I took it off I think the gauze got stuck and took the scab off in the frenelum area and started bleeding a bit. I had to apply some light pressure to stop the bleeding (it was dropping pretty fast), and once the bleeding stopped, I cleaned the area with warm water, applied the polysporin over the wound and put some gauze back on to protect it.
There is definetely some more swelling around the wound since this morning but still nothing alarming. My penis looks very rough with the swelling and that blister but it will hopefully look like a normal penis soon. My wife says that she prefers the new looks (of my penis now that is all beaten up) then the old covered style.
That makes me feel better since, in my opinion, my poor guy looks as if he got badly beaten in a bar fight. :-)Take care!
