So your doctor might be scalpel hungry, or he might actually be very experienced and recognise that your type of foreskin has high odds of problems later on.
Only asking the right questions to him would allow you to pass real judgement on whether your doc is scalpel happy or really experienced.
Nevertheless, if you like having a foreskin, then insist on keeping it, losing only the pesky frenulum, and if/when problems arise years later, then you deal with them.
