Damien's answer was good, but I would like to include mine because I am one of those guys. I was rather shocked to discover that other boys penises looked different from mine, and I felt embarrassed and somehow cheated, and also the victim of a big "lie by omission". But the real shock came when I found out that even my own older brother and a cousin looked like the other boys too. Then I really felt alone and a freak.
But they helped me understand what they had done. None of us knew the word circumcison, and had mistakenly concluded that other boys were just retracted. We hated our foreskins and wanted to be rid of them at any cost, so we did the only thing we knew. Theirs were easier to keep retracted than mine, but their success was just what I needed to persevere. It was only a few weeks before I lost the hypersensitivity and the offensive smell, and I was then getting accustomed to the new feel and look. But I still had to spend many months pulling it back, because it was too loose at first to stay on its own. Now I hope you will come to prefer the head bared, just as we do. Good luck.
