I was diagnosed last year with BXO,I also had a white band of what appeared to be scar tissue completely round the tip of my foreskin, white patches on my glans.My foreskin was shrinking, it was very difficult to even clean underneath.
I saw my G.P. he said BXO and circumcision, he refered me to an Urologist and he said BXO and circumcision.So at the age of 53 I was circumcised.Do not believe the anti-circ propoganda, it is not that bad. I found that stretching however gently the skin just split.Circumcision made my problem go away. It is your decision, as you are worried about the op, discuss with surgeon the possibilty of a general anaesthetic
