A while ago everyone on here was ranting about stretching and to not get circ, now though the posters seem to have swung towards the op and their experiences, have attitudes changed and I'm the only one who is sh1t scared of the op.
IF you have BXO, then it appears from the available literature that circumcision is the recommended treatment. That and a cancer in the foreskin are just about the only conditions where circumcision is medically indicated. With BXO the stretching will not work, because the skin is too brittle, as Howell describes.
Most of the guys here who have had circumcisions as adults do not report it to have caused significant loss of sensation and function. I believe that is primarily due to the fact that in their own minds they had already 'written off' the sensation and function of the foreskin itself, and the changes which occur to the glans usually take a number of years to become sufficiently apparent. When you consider that most of the men who report substantial loss of sensitivity from their infant circumcisions are in their 30s and 40s, you can see the time frame we are talking about for noticeable loss.
I would recommend that you make sure that it really is BXO, rather than an infection, such as yeast or some other skin condition. You can try an antifungal cream (the same stuff that girls use for yeast infections - Lotrimin, Monistat, whatever it is in your area). If it doesn't work, you're only out a few bucks. If it does, you've saved yourself money, time and a body part (personally I am averse to cutting body parts off except in demonstrated acute necessity). You aren't in immediate danger of your willy falling off - BXO works quite slowly. But neither should you ignore it. Find out what is causing the condition, then fix that. Don't let them just GUESS at what you have and start taking irreversible steps.
Good luck.
