As an answer to: Phimosis and Frenum Breve- *Cured* My Story written by D A at 29 Jul 2005 17:24:07:
Thanks for sharing! Mine is very similar, as I've only had phimosis for about 2 years, not my whole life (I'm 18 now). I have just recently started using clobetasol 0.05% cream and stretching every morning and night for about 15 minutes. It does seem to be getting better although the skin either side of the phimotic ring looks quite sore, probably from the cream? Or maybe its the stretching.
Anyway thanks again.
>Well, my journey started with puberty. This was a difficult time as my erections were hindered by an excessively tight foreskin. I could remember a time when this was not the case, and my foreskin moved freely, but eventually I was unable to retract it even when flaccid. This continued for many years, but eventually as I encountered sexual contact I realised something should be done.
>Discovery
>I started researching on the internet. No, firstly I started reading medical dictionaries and learnt of some possible ailments. Then I research further, for months. I discovered the tightness in my foreskin and white scarring was called phimosis. Eventually I worked up the courage to see my 'friendly' GP. I explained that I thought I had phimosis (big mistake- he practically rolled his eyes, I was still just a teenager). He examinded me and decided that I should be operated on. I queried him about steroid creams to which he scoffed 'there is no way they can help you, you don't seem to understand'. Never saw him again.
>Alternatives
>As confidence inspiring my doctor was, I decided to avoid booking in for a specialist appointment, which would then lead to an operation. I put up with it for a year or so, tried stretching and my foreskin was looser. Through attempted intercourse I managed to damage my frenum three times that year. Each time it would grow back shorter and stiffer with scarring. The third time I made an appointment to a local GP I'd never met. She was extremely helpful and sympathetic to my situation. When I suggested cortisone, she was doubtful but humoured me with a script for 1% hydrocortisone.
>Cortisone
>Having a girlfriend at the time, I used that cream every waking moment. I noticed improvements after a few weeks. I'd read that there were very few treatments avaliable for Frenum Breve, so I was curious as to how this extremely weak cream would work. I think I damaged my frenum a few times in the first months with sex attempts before I was ready, but it healed well. It didn't take long for my phimosis to disappear completely, exposing my frenum further. After approximately 3 months I had healed my frenum and could have full perfect erections and pain free sex.
>Sensitivity
>Back when I was reading this board, and I'll admit it was a while back. Everyone was having problems with hyper-sensitivity after exposing the glans. I only had mild sensitivy but this was cured by A. Oral sex. Worked wonders. And B. Wearing the glans exposed as often as possible (boxer shorts). The first few days were painful but after that things improved greatly, both sensitivity and stamina wise. That was all years ago now. My penis is now completely 'average' and functional.
>Thanks
>I'm not sure if anyone will benefit from this information, but this is my story. For the last few years I have had thoughts of this site and I finally decided I must pay my dues. It is the very least I can do to support the community that inspired me to go through this, to help me help my self. Good luck.
