>Thanks for sharing! Mine is very similar, as I've only had phimosis for about 2 years, not my whole life (I'm 18 now). I have just recently started using clobetasol 0.05% cream and stretching every morning and night for about 15 minutes. It does seem to be getting better although the skin either side of the phimotic ring looks quite sore, probably from the cream? Or maybe its the stretching.
>Anyway thanks again.
What is referred to as 'stretching' is actually growing additional skin. That requires an enhanced blood supply, depending on his quickly the growth occurs. When you get a significant cut or scrape, the area around it is reddened during the healing due to the increased blood supply, stimulated by - steroid hormones. Using the appropriate steroid foxes the system by sending the signal that this is an area where there should be tissue growth.
