As an answer to: I have been stretching my Phimosis...... written by CaribbeanGuy at 06 Feb 2002 14:44:01:
>Hi Guys. First let me start off by saying that I really appreciate all the info being divulged on this board regarding Phimosis and its treatment.
>I am a guy 26 going on 27, from the Caribbean. All my life, I have had phimosis. I have been to doctors regarding my condition, and all the doctors have recomended circumcision. No way I want to have my foreskin removed.
>About a year ago, I was in the shower and decided on trying to retract my foreskin. At first it was painfull, but I managed to get it back! This was in the limp state. It felt tight around the head, so of course, I hastily brought it back to its original position
>However, It will not retract when the penis is erect, the opening on the erect penis measures about a half inc in diameter, but i can recall in my teenage years that the opening was very much smaller. I do not have problems urinating or masturbating. Sometimes, sex is painful if there is not much lubrication, and sometimes the skin tends to "roll under" on the glans during sex, which can be a little bit painful. I dont get the sexual sensations i know i should be getting from sex, because the glans is hidden behind the foreskin
>About 4 days ago, I read where stretching would be an alternative to circumcision. At first, it was difficult to get my fingers into the openeing of the foreskin to stretch it, but after 2 days of forceing it, i could fit my two thumbs inside the foreskin! I am considering going to a doctor to try get a prescripotion for a stretching ointment (if its available in the Caribbean). I bought a special lotion recently that contains elastin and Vitamin E, Thats what I am currently using.
>aslo, this morning while in the shower, I retracted the foreskin, and let it remain retracted for about 5 minutes! But then, the penis began to get erect, and it started to feel tight, so I quickly released it.
>Anyway, PaulB or anyone else, do you think I will be able to get rid of my phimosis without doing the dreaded circumcision? I think its affecting my sex life, sex is not very pleasureable for me, and I sometimes lose my erection because of it. I want this fixed by my wedding Night (sept 7 2002) Is this a reasonable time frame to expect a full retraction of the erect penis if I embark on a daily stretching routine (together with Beta Methasone)
>Thanks for the Info, and I will continue to read the messages on this board for the rest of my life i think. It's a matter of knowing that you can cure yourself! The ointment should help you in your endeavor. You'll need a prescription from a physician. Use it carefully as directed.
