Written by Peter at 28 Feb 2002 01:44:48: Foreskin Retraction Problems - URGENT!! PLEASE HELP!!
Hi - I'm a 15 year old male, and am in th middle of puberty (I think) - I am short (height-wise) for my age, and have developed some (average) amount of pubic hair, average amount of underarm hair, but my penis hasn't totally increased in size yet - so I think this means I am still going through puberty.
Anyway, as I said, I am 15, in the middle of puberty, and I am also uncircumcised. My parents never taught me/tried to get me to retract my foreskin when I was younger, and now I am worried that this may be a problem. I understand that people can go through life without having their foreskins retracting, but I dont want this. Whenever my penis is erect, there is a small opening in the foreskin where I cann see the opening in my glans (not sure of the name). But with a bit of pressure I can pull it back to reveal more. But I am worried that if I pull it back more, it might hurt, or get stuck behind the glans. I dont know what could happen. I am worried that I may have a tight foreskin, or phimosis, or frenulum breve, but I dont know how I could tell. When people say that you have a tight foreskin, how tight is this??
I plan on trying to retract my foreskin when flaccid, as this would hopefully be less 'dangerous'. Am I right about this?? When I go to retract my foreskin, I reveal the top of my glans, but then I start to worry that something may go wrong, so I stop. I say a vein on my foreskin, near the top, when I start retracting, and I fear that having this there may cause problems. I know it probably wouldn't but I am just worried.
Basically, I want to know, if I am going to have troubles retracting my foreskin when flaccid, how and when will I know if it will cause problems?? Also, do you need to have manually retracted it a few times, before it will retract by itself, when erect??
Also, the frenulum, joining the foreskin and the base of the opening in the glans, SHOULD be there, right?? Mine is, but I am just making sure, before I try anything.
The main problem is, I am also not wanting to tell my parents about this, for embarassment reasons.
Anyway, can someone give me some help as to:
How I should retract it,
What I should feel (and how I should know to stop, if I need to)
and any other important matters you can think of.PLEASE, I'm Desperate, and any Help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Please email your answers to me at darkcloud_101 - hotmail . com (without the spaces, of course)
PLEASE!
